What is Squirrels?

Squirrel Scouts are the youngest members of the Scout family, designed for children aged 4-6. They participate in fun, engaging activities and games in groups called Dreys, fostering skills like communication, confidence, and teamwork. Squirrel Scouts also focus on community involvement, contributing to their local areas. 


Age range:

Squirrel Scouts are specifically for children aged 4 and 5 (and sometimes up to 6). 


Activities:

They participate in a variety of games and activities, with a focus on developing skills like confidence, communication, and teamwork. 


Dreys:

Squirrel Scouts meet in small groups called Dreys, which are part of a larger Scout group. 


Community involvement:

They learn about helping others and contributing to their local community. 


Uniform:

Squirrel Scouts wear a red sweatshirt and a neckerchief (or "necker") to represent their local group.
