What is Scouts?
The Scout section in Scouting is for young people aged 10½ to 14 years old. It's the fourth section in a Scout Group, following Beavers and Cubs. Scouts participate in a wide range of activities, develop skills, and work towards awards and badges, all within a Patrol structure.
Age Range: Scouts are typically between 10 and a half and 14 years old.
Patrols: Scouts are organized into smaller groups called Patrols within their Troop.
Activities: Scouts engage in various activities, including outdoor adventures, teamwork challenges, and skill-building exercises.
Awards and Badges: Scouts work towards earning badges and awards, both for participation and for demonstrating specific skills.
Leadership: The Scout Troop is led by trained adult volunteers, who provide guidance and support.
Transition: As Scouts get older, they can progress to the Explorer section.
